Feed me.

So what do you use? I am thinking of subscribing to Blog*lines, but don't know much about it. I am still all old-school; clicking down the links on the right. Seems like it would be smarter to subscribe to a service that compiles everyone's feeds.

Smarten me up - what do you know? Do you prefer web-based or client-based aggregators?

BTW, I run on Windows XP. Because I use my work laptop. (Yes, they sent it with me on my mat. leave. Awesome for me. Weirdly congenial on their part.)

So - I am studying for my last exam that will earn me a degree that I started years ago. Related to these exams (which I passed, btw). Next Friday. I couldn't be less prepared. Only a nut-job tries to finish a degree with a 6 month old attached to her breast. And here I am blogging.

I am going to bed now. And I am getting up early to study, swear to god.

I don't know anything about bloglines, I still do the old school clicking too. I'll be very interested to read your responses from people who know.

Hi Delphi,

At home I use safari (mac browser) and it has an excellent built-in feed aggregator; when I'm on any site that has a feed, I just add it to my bookmarks, then I can view "all RSS feeds" and all updates on all pages are shown on a single page. It works brilliantly. I think Firefox has something similar, but I don't know about any other browsers.

At work (ahem) I use google's own web-based reader, which seems to do a pretty good job.

Try it at google.com/reader if you fancy.

i also just click & check...i think it's kind of fun that way. Especially if someone hasn't updated in awhile and then they do, finding a new post is like opening a present! I don't think it would be as much fun if i *knew* something was there each time i went. Even if it is more efficient.

OK, so my life is kind of limited on excitement, i admit it LOL

Good luck on your exams!

I use bloglines because I find it easiest. Though I do have google reader, I never use it (there's just something about it I don't care for).

Good luck on your exams...I know you'll do great. :o)

The main issue I have with bloglines is that I tend to forget about those people who don't have feeds. Then I feel bad.

I'm like you- totally old school. Although for me it isn't so much old school, as it is that I am so clueless about the more advanced aspects to blogging. I'm a clicker.

I have no suggestions about the blog issues as I have no idea what you are all even talking about ;)

But I wanted to wish you good luck with the exams. I too am studying at the moment and its been hanging over my head for years. Here's hoping we both finish soon.
